French Twist Updo for Short Hair

French Twist Updo for Short Hair
As you all know, we are coming to the holiday season, which is very exciting. I, for one, love the holidays. One of my favorite things about it is that there are so many different hairstyles you get to try! I love the holiday season!

So this is another hairstyle for short hair, but I think that if you mess with the back a bit you may figure out how to get it to work for all hair types (look for a tutorial in the future *wink wink*) I just love doing these twist hairstyles!
So all that this hairstyle is is a french twist on both sides of your head into a ponytail which you tuck into the twists to create a kind of crown-ish look.
I`ve posted the tutorial to the hairstyle below if you prefer that (I know I do!):

I hope you like this hairstyle and that its useful! Thanks for watching!

Waterfall Braid Crown/Wraparound

Waterfall Braid Crown/Wraparound
This hairstyle is very popular right now, but most people don`t know how to do it! I learned how to do a waterfall braid on one of my favorite hair styling websites/YouTube channels-Cute Girls Hairstyles. Click Here to watch the video.

I started the braid like a normal waterfall braid, and you could stop this braid whenever you want to, but I kept braiding.  An easy variation of this hairstyle would be to stop before the back of your head and braid of the remaining hair, or pin it up.
I simply kept braiding all the way around the head until I got all the way to the other side.
I finished the braid on the side by twisting the last two strands over each other once and pinning them up.  Try to use bobby pins that match your hair color, though I used some that were a different color so that they were easily visible.
I also added some GoRgEoUs ringlet-e curls with my 1-1/2 in curling wand by Helen of Troy.
I think this is a great hairstyle for a wedding, party, or whatever you want!  Wearing it with straight or curly hair is an easy way to dress it either up or down!

Upside-down Candy Corn Hairstyle

Upside-down Candy Corn Hairstyle
This is a great hairstyle for people with short hair, but it works with any hair length. This is perfect for a Halloween party or to just wear to school during October. I personally would t wear this to school, but it`s adorable on little girls.

I decided to show you guys this hairstyle on Red Riding Hoods hair just to let you see that it can work on short hair as well. Also, you can substitute the orange, yellow, and white hair ties with another color, as it would work as just a waterfall triangle.

There are tons of different things you can do with this hairstyle, but I like it just as a candy corn (upside down!) What I used to get this hairstyle were:
*3 small orange hair ties

*2 small yellow hair ties

*1 small white hair ties

*comb and water spray bottle

*10-15 minutes

So to create this style, I simply made 3 square parts on her head, and tied them up with three orange hair ties. Then I took the middle ponytail, divided it in half, and ties the halves to the other two ponytails. Finally, I connected all of the hair into one ponytail to finish off the look. Sorry I don`t have a tutorial, but I may add one later! Thanks for reading!

2 into 1 Waterfall Braid

This is probably one of my favorite hairstyles. I usually wear it as one waterfall braid like in the picture on the right (that`s me, Cinderella!). I think that this hairstyle works well with loose ringlets or waves, even though both of these pictures have it with straight hair.
This hairstyle is a spin off of the waterfall braid, and I think that its easier for people who can`t french braid. What I did was two waterfall braids and then joined the two together in a twist braid at the end pinned off to the side of her head. You can see the tutorial for this hairstyle below (sorry about the sound I`m still figuring this out :P)
I hope you like this hairstyle thanks for watching! (if the video doesn`t work, you can find it here. its called 2 into 1 Waterfall Twist Braid on youtube)

Side Braid with Bun Updo

Side Braid Bun Updo For Medium/Long Hair

Not my picture
What I did

This updo would do well as a quick, cute, easy hairstyle for a day on the run. It is very secure, so you could wear it to a soccer game, dance, or even to school!

All that this is is a simple poof with a side swept braid and a bun. I also teased the back to add just a little bit  more volume to the hairstyle. All that you need to do this hairstyle is:

*10-15 bobby pins

*one small hair tie

*1 or 2 big hair ties
*5-15 mins

I found out how to do my messy buns from my favorite hair styling website: Princess Hairstyles. You can find a link to the bun tutorial here.

I really love this hairstyle, and would wear it to school myself. It would really work with any type of bun you wanted. I would also try it with a twist bun like the one in the second picture. Also, you could leave out a few pieces and curl them to give it a more fancy look.

I hope you like this hairstyle!
